Collins Bay
On Sept. 28 1943 this Harvard trainer plane crashed into Lake Ontario fatally killing it's pilot G. Fitton from England. He and 42 others died here during flight training in WW II. This plane was recovered and refurbished in 1983. This was part of 416 Wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Six others crashed into the lake. Many pilots hadn't even driven cars, but they gave it their best.

An original 1875 stone culvert on the K&P Railway. CPR leased the K&P in 1913 for 999 years. It ran to Titchbourne until 1986 where it connected to the main E/W CPR line there. CPR replaced most stone culverts between 1925 and 1935 with concrete. Another similar one can be found north of Verona, a km. north of Craig Road, just east of Highway # 38. The men who built this were paid $1.25 for a 10 hour day, plus a bunk in a work camp, and very basic food.
