Impressive and large room upstairs with the history of the country engraved throughout the walls. All of the exhibits are carefully planned, laid out and properly illustrated. Provides a learning opportunity for visitors of all ages.

Visited for the first time and really enjoyed it. It's small, but worthwhile and as of writing this review it's still free to visit. Interesting part of Costa Rican history with it being the old airport as well. A slow walkthrough only takes about 1-1.5 hrs so it's not an all day experience, for better or worse, but definitely a neat way to experience more local culture.

Marvellous experience! The eye meets the Costa Rican Art Masters and the soul smiles!

Nice little museum, the former airport building. Beautifull surrounding, at the beginning of the Sabana park. A lot of interesting sculptures in the patio outside. In the second floor a copper relief with the (idealistic version) history of Costa Rica. Interesting temporary and permanent exhibitions. They present the art scenery of Latin America which is rather unknown in Europe and North America. Free entrance (2017).
