Very well put together experience, which is essentially not a museum at all but a guided story telling tour through a series of themed rooms. The tour takes 45 minutes and was both informative and fun. A bit more museum would have been nice, especially to look around while waiting for the tour to begin. Staff were really friendly and accommodating though.

I really enjoyed this tour! If you are interested in learning about folklore of the Irish this is a must see. My only wish is that they would also offer an extended even more in depth tour. The story telling was great!

Our visit to the leprechaun museum included the tour and storytelling by one of their excellent hosts. Our group thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the folklore of ancient Ireland, and their faeries, leprechauns and other little folk. Look out for Seamus at the end. Quite a character, but very promiscuous according to the staff!

Myself and my partner visited here for the Dark event, and thought it was brilliant. Yes the price is a little steep, but it's fun as anything.

The guide was an expert in storytelling and really set the mood for some scary stories. I can see why it's 18+ as I got a few chills during some of the tales.

Basically what it is, is a ghost tour in a special building where you go through rooms (same as the day tours) and they tell you one or two stories, no one jumps out at you, no flashy effects, just good old fashioned storytelling in a really atmospheric and great place.

I didn't do the day time one, but most people say it's too kiddy - do the after hours nighttime visit, providing you like hearing ghost stories and don't mind the price it's absolutely worth it. You even get to clamber over large furniture and stick your head through and pretend to be leprechauns at the end.

100% worth it I thought.

We visited with two 8 year olds and we loved it. There is not a lot of information on the website about it but plenty of reviews (although quite mixed) describe what happens.

It is a more of an experience rather than a traditional museum, made up of several rooms. We had an energetic guide with a gorgeous story telling voice who told us a short story in each of the rooms. Our group was made up mostly of overseas visitors so we found it a great introduction to Irish folklore.

The first room is the giant furniture room which the kids loved. You get a chance to experience life the size of a leprechaun and of course take photos.

My favourite part was walking through the rainbow...a corridor of coloured strings hanging down and of course the pot of gold at the end.

There is some uneven floor along the way and it is generally dimly lit.
