We rented a car from "Best" car rental in July. At the time the service seemed very good, the car was clean and reliable. We rented the car for 4 days and they charged us the rental rate plus a deposit which should be reversed once the car is returned. I checked my visa statement when we returned to Canada and the over $700 charge was not reversed from my card and they have not responded to my request for a refund or copy of my invoice. 2 months later I also saw a $35 charge on my card from this company with no reasoning behind it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am still trying to get a hold of them to see why they will not refund me my money and to get them to destroy my credit card information so no more payment are charged on it.

We booked in their web in advance. When we went to get the car they did not know anything about our booking. When we tried to rent the car in the office we discovered that it was not possible to rent a car for the days we wanted. Then they told us that when they can not serve a booking made through their own web, they just do not contact the customer, as if it was the normal behaviour...

I respect bad reviews, but in my experience using them four or five times in recent years, they've been excellent. Car was always available and clean, open-ended rental is no problem. One time an employee switched me from the daily rate to the cheaper weekly rate without me asking, just to save me some money. No complaints.

I had a very bad experience with Best Car Rental in Jerusalem; they were dishonest with their billing and take advantage of tourists who do not speak Hebrew by not properly explaining hidden charges. Before renting the car, the staff told me that if I used a toll road, I would be billed 2 months later in the mail. That was fine and easily understood. I asked how much it was and they told me it was just the price of the toll. When I returned the car, they said there was an additional 50 shekel administrative fee on top of the toll. When I protested that they should have explained that to me BEFORE, they claimed that they did. I told them it was not true, I specifically asked for the price and they did not mention a 50 shekel fee. Nonetheless I decided there was nothing I could do, so I just requested a receipt showing the additional required payment so I could have a record of it. Then the manager gave me a bill that showed the extra administrative payment was actually 75 shekels, not 50! She explained that 50 was before the tax. So first they lied about explaining there was a 50 shekel administrative fee for using a toll, and then they lied about how much the fee actually was, not 50, but 75. When I complained that none of this was disclosed to me when I asked about and that they were giving me incorrect information, the manager yelled at me and said it is all written in the fine print, in Hebrew!!
It was very unprofessional and very dishonest, and they showed no shame in how they treated their customers, especially people who do not speak Hebrew.

do NOT rent from Best Rental company in Jerusalem - they are BAD!! - lost reservation, begged for a car and received a REALLY old/bad car, charged me DOUBLE from what they quoted me, REALLY rude people, and then they ADDED on a fee after they knew I was flying overseas. VERY bad. STAY AWAY from "BEST" rental company in jerusalem!!!
