Upper Mustang & Tiji Festival 2012

Slightly to the northwest of Kathmandu, can be reached 25 minutes light to Jomsom and 5 days walking from Jomsom. A region of unspoiled beauty, it has been open to outside tourists only since 1995, there continues to be strict limits placed on the numbers of tourists permitted yearly.

Surrounded on all sides by calm and snowy mountains. Mustang is a very mountainous under developed area of Nepal in the Himalayas. The air is thin here. The average altitude is around 15000 ft.

Tiji Festival is observed every year during the months May & June according Tibetan calendar. The Festival is special ceremony among Buddhism.

All the participant has to be able to walk over 6-7 hours each day during the hiking days over altitude of 300p meters.
