The food is excellent, and service is fast. I had duck with rice, it's the best duck I've had in Peru. Also shrimp causa is very good.

This place has great decor with very friendly staff! This was our first food choice in Peru. The place looked closed as we passed by at 9pm. The staff greated us and seated us and said they closed at 10pm. It had great decor and they serve breakfast lunch and dinner. Menu items range from sandwiches to pastas to ceviches. I had fresh lemonade with a pasta with lomo saltado and vegetables. Food was good but the lomo was a little pink. This was fine for me but others may prefer their meat more thoroughly cooked. My wife had a breaded chicken with pasta. Both dishes were very tasty! Both pasta dishes came with a Peruvian yellow criolla sauce that was very good! We will be back to try some other items! 2 min walk from Hilton Garden Inn Lima Surco. If your staying there, you need to stop in to Akipa.
