The perfect variety of lakes, national parks, and luxurious lodges, as well as the rolling hills of the Great Rift Valley. This tour is a showcase of Kenya’s most precious assets, and some of the most charming places on earth.
Day 1 : Depart Nairobi and drive North to Samburu via Mt. Kenya and miles of coffee plantations. Arrive at Samburu Game Reserve, in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. This is the home of the very rare animals such as Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Gerenuk and the blue-shanked Somali ostrich. Dinner and over night.
Day 2 : There will be a early morning game viewing followed by full breakfast and another game drive. After lunch, there will be some time for some leisure and relaxation. Finally, end the day with a perfect evening game drive in the sunset before dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Breakfast, and then depart to Aberdare early in the morning. This National park is infamously known as the place where Queen Elizabeth II was visiting at the time of her father’s death. Treetops lodge is an enchanting spot, visited by a variety of birds, as well as members of the big five family. It can even attract olive baboons (watch out they don’t steal your lunch!). Upon arrival you will be met by the ranger who will explain some common facts about wildlife and how to treat them. There are also nighttime activities around the lodge, which are special and unforgettable. Dinner and overnight at Treetops Lodge.
Day 4: Depart to lake Nakuru. This is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores, which are a sight to behold. It is also the home of a variety of other rare animals including white rhino, tree climbing lions, waterbuck hippo and Rothschild’s giraffes. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Travel to the world famous Masai Mara game reserve. This is the most sought after safari experience in the world. The reserve is set in the Great Rift Valley, amongst vast planes of savannah grassland. There is abundant wildlife. On arrival, there will be an afternoon game drive before dinner and overnight.
Day 6: After breakfast depart for a full day of game viewing, across the rich trees, studded grassland and rolling hills. Prepare yourself to see great herds of game, including black maned lion, leopard and cheetah, and numerous elephants.
Day 7: Pre-breakfast gamedrive before the sunrise followed by full breakfast. Finally, depart for Nairobi.
Unfortunately, this trip is not suitable for children under the age of 7 years.
