Joe is an amazing guy and great guide. He asked us where we wanted to go, took us there and back safely, made us feel very comfortable the whole time, including getting in and out of the kayaks. He's very experienced so could hang with much more experienced paddlers, but knows how to take it easy with beginners like me.
Can't wait to come back when I'm back in Mt. Pleasant.

Sea Kayak Carolina is under new ownership and has moved to Mount Pleasant! It is more than just a shop offering tours and classes, it is a strong community. I have met wonderful friends who continue to inspire me and make me a better paddler.

Sea Kayak Carolina offers great instruction for those looking to learn to kayak and improve their skills as well as offering quality paddling gear. The store staff is always friendly and offers helpful advice in regards to paddling equipment with no high pressure sales tactics. SKC is highly recommended!

If you want REAL Sea Kayaking, this is the place to go! Experienced staff, incredible classes, gear and boats that are really hard to find. This shop does tours for people who want a one time experience, people who want to get started in a new sport, all the way up to ACA Instructor Training Level 4 and more.
I started kayaking 4 years ago and have been involved with this shop since then, it is the safest, lowest ratio of students (or tour takers) to instructors that I've seen. I highly recommend it!
