My opinion is very mixed, hence the 3 stars. But, I would stay here again.

The location is great! Close to everything: Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak, Manitou Springs, US Air Force Academy, Broadmore Resort, Norh Cheyenne Canon Park with Helen Hunt Falls and Silver Cascade Falls, plus the best dog park I've ever been to (10 fenced in acres with walking trails, lots of dogs, creek for dogs to play in, agility coarse, bathrooms).

The sites themselves are very tight. Barely enough room to open our three slides, no picnic tables, no trees. It is basically a parking lot with hookups. The "dog walk" was overgrown and pitiful. I didn't even attempt to get through the overgrowth as it was a small dirt/gravel sidewalk. The tent sites are in this area. I don't think I would tent here. The sites are very small and next to the road. I would look elsewhere if I were tenting, but the location is so great I might stay here anyway. No comment on the cabins as I didn't look into them.

The staff was very friendly and gave us some suggestions as to what see.

The bathrooms were clean and had a code lock. I didn't like that the changing area was separate from the shower, but there is a hook near the shower to hang your towel.

The surrounding area felt safe and we didn't have any issues.

We stayed in Goldfield RV park for 5 days last week.

I have mixed feelings on our stay. And will rate each accordingly.

I have to give 5 stars to their website designer, because they made the park look like a nice wide open facility. In reality, it was very crowded. No place to have a campfire on our lot as we had expected to do when camping in Colorado. Due to the tightness of the facility in the way it was conveyed, I am at a 2 star review for space.

The bathrooms were great, very clean. 4 Stars.

The laundry area was only available until around 6pm or so. 1 star. It made it very difficult to get any washing done as well as enjoy the sites (reason of our visit)

All in all decent and affordable little parking spot for your camper if you don't plan on having a true campground experience.

Very nice clean quiet RV park. The staff here is super friendly. Very close to Manitou springs, Garden of the gods, and red rocks open space park. Right across the street from old Colorado city. You can walk across the street from here and have many choices for really delicious food, art galleries, and shops.

I feel compelled to add to my review. I read another review that said there were only two stalls in the bathroom and there are four or five toilet stalls and three showers and it's all very clean. I read a review that said there were cockroaches in the bathroom, not true this place is immaculate. also in one of those reviews it mentioned the police coming and homeless people. I've been here three weeks I have not witnessed any crime or homeless people or problems of any kind. I think perhaps the reviewer was reviewing a place east of here off of the same highway that I have heard has those problems. I think they were reviewing the wrong place.

This was the only place we could find an RV spot near Garden of the Gods. I was disappointed. This is a small park and the fee was affordable considering the environment. We were backed-in to a spot that felt more like an extension of the O'Reilly Auto Parts store across the alleyway. The sites were very close together and we had no privacy from our neighbors. There is a neighborhood directly behind the RV park and the houses that back-up to the park are all under construction. We woke up to that noise around 0700 on a weekday. The RV park is walking distance from Old Colorado Springs and we enjoyed the restaurants and shops on that walk (about 1/2 mile to downtown). I won't likely stay here again unless absolutely necessary.

Great location, great staff, nice laundry. This is not a put out your awning and lawn chairs and enjoy the park kind of a place. It's a good chat parking lot with barely enough room to navigate and put out your slides, both doable. But it served our purpose well. The location is excellent for hiking and seeing the area sites. The staff was very friendly. The laundry had plenty of brand new machines that worked great. Prices were about 1.50 I think. Everything (electric, water, cable) worked well. The park was full of high end big rigs; this was not a low rent district. It was very busy with rigs coming in and out constantly. We stayed in a Class A 35' motorhome with tow dolly. We can recommend this park and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if a park-like-setting park wasn't available.
