Purchased prepaid for a wedding in Sonoma and both the pickup and early morning drop off 4 days later were hassle free. There was actually an attendant available for return at 5 am when the web page states we would be using an after-hours procedure. Easy, reasonably priced, friendly service, no lines and great communication.

I had rented from Budget a few years ago and was not of the opinion they were efficiently organized. I was sent a letter and apology from the manager at the facility with a Fastbreak card with my name on it. Well I put it in the drawer and forgot about it because I don't travel that much. To make a long story short, I found the card while cleaning out the drawer and decided I would try it out on the next trip I was preparing to take. Never have I gone thru the process of renting and returning a car so quickly! I will be a Budget renter from now on. Thanks Budget.

I rated my experience much higher that I should have. Your customer service leaves much to be desired. I made the mistake of completing the survey before I got the final charges. I was billed an extra day even when the car was returned on time. I was billed for gas even though it was returned with a full tank. And Michael (#38060) made me feel like I was the one to blame for creating the issues in the first place. And then he hangs up on me! I will probably do whatever I can to avoid renting from Budget in the future. At least the Budget in Oakland.

I love Budget my mom actually passed away on a night I had reserved a car and prepaid, Budgets policy is to charge $150 for cancelling a prepaid rental. They actually cancelled those charges and made a loyal customer for life that night! Thanks Budget the one thing I did not want to do was haggle over a refund while I was grieving.

Booked a large SUV. Picked up a Sequoia. Noticed on the way home that the low tire pressure light was on. Stopped at a gas station, filled up the tire. Drove home (30 miles away). Checked it during the afternoon to see if it was still leaking. Didn't seem to be. Loaded the car. Rechecked. Down again. Unpacked the car. Drove to the gas station to add more air, then drove back to the airport. Turned in the leaky-tire car. Was told to go talk to the counter. Talked to the guy at the counter who could give me a smaller SUV, with no compensation for the hassle I had of starting my trip a day late, packing/unpacking my car, etc. I asked to talk to the manager. "Manager is not on site." I asked for the manager's name and number so I could call him. "Oh, there he is, over there." Went over to explain my conundrum to manager Steve who could not have been nicer. He was apologetic, understanding, and gave me a Mercedes GSL 450 with a free tank of gas for my troubles. Turned my 1 star review into a 5 star review. Kudos to manager Steve.
