Having a LCSW and practicing for several years, the Doctorate Ed.D Program in Counseling Psychology is a progression of clinical knowledge skill building while learning a variety of psychological, personality, and cognitive assessment and testing tools to assist in moving forward to obtain Board of Psychology licensure as a psychologist to perform assessment and testing as a psychological assistance pre/post doctorate while obtaining licensure hours under supervision until board exams for a licensed psychologist.
The Department Chair, Dr. Hafezi has made great strides in the program to stream line learning and assistance to support students who have a MA, LMFT, MSW, LCSW to move forward with a doctorate in counseling psychology that supports licensure/board requirements to become licensed as a psychologist.
Under the new leadership with Campus President Williams has also assisted with continued investment of creating an environment of facility addressing needs of the students to succeed and not just numbers moving through the university.

A few knowledgeable professors, but on the whole the EdD program is a rehash of Master's work. And don't get me started on the mess called financial aid. If I could transfer I would, but only three credits transfer to another university.
