You know those picture perfect postcards of palm trees on the beach of Tropical North Queensland that you see? Well, the place exists; and it is right here at Far Horizons restaurant. You can dine out side amongst the palms right on the ocean. If the perfect location isn't enough the food was also amazing too. There are a lot of fine dining restaurants in Palm Cove an this was my highlight.

Have been here twice this week to sample their afternoon dining menu. Found the service to be attentive and prompt but not impeccable. Food to be very well done (and I wasn't eating from their full menu). Wine list left something to be severely desired and in general cocktails/spirits were lacking. Over all, from what I have seen and experienced it is still the best restaurant to sit back and relax at from the early afternoon.

Really enjoyed our meal which we had here. It will pay to book ahead and have a look at which table you'd prefer. Each has a different view or access to other facilities. Our table adjacent to the verandah was very nice, and we moved to the couches for drinks afterwards.
