I'm retracting my original review. I'm very upset. Vina has been doing my eyelashes for about 2 years. She has changed locations 5 times. I stayed faithfull b/c she is good at what she does. My last service was 2 weeks ago. I'm just finding out now (and only b/c i texted her) that she is away and the salon is closed until July 25th! I told her I would have to look elsewhere and her reply was
"I understand"

First impressions are everything. Unfortunately for me this manicure was not one I would recommend. I have had beautiful false gel nails for almost a year now going to the same technician in Parksville, unfortunately due to personal she no longer can do nails an I decided to try Natural U Spa.
First started off with the first nail lady not knowing that I had gel extensions and she tried to get it off with acetone (she was just going to do gel polish). Secondly I was transferred to a nail tech which could do gel extension fills but was rushed. She ended up nicking 3 of my fingers with the nail file which caused slight bleeding and stung with the acetone she later used when doing a French manicure. None of the nails looked a like (in shape), and none of the French tips were rounded at all. Though she was very friendly... I was very disappointed that the fill was no a complete fill, the nails were not shaped "almond" style (which is what I came in with and wanted), the French tips were not rounded evenly & my cuticles we're sore.

For the first time ever I had microblading done on my eyebrows by Vina - a wonderful, pleasant person who did an amazing job. I went back after 6 weeks for my touch up and was even more impressed. She did a superb job! I am so happy with my brows that I haven't used a pencil since! (And after years of over-plucking I barely HAD eyebrows!) The facility itself is very clean, warm and welcoming and I will most definitely go back . I would absolutely recommend Vina and Natural U Spa to anyone!

I really enjoyed my experience at the spa! Massage practitioner Lynn gives one of the best massages I've had to date! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and proficient. The rest of the staff seemed nice and the atmosphere of the place is great! Five stars!!

To be completely honest my experience here was not good at all. I am normally not one to complain, i even had to create this account to be able to post this review, but i couldn't not say something. I went in to the spa looking for a gel pedicure. I had existing gel on my nails. The girl spent 45 minutes taking my existing gel off and cut 5 of my 10 toes in the process. (She was shredding my skin with the nail file she was using to rough up the existing gel) As the toes bled she then used the acetone to clean up the blood making each cut burn in the process. After the 45 minute it took her another 35 minutes to get to the point where she could put new gel on. I had to leave without polish because not only had she taken far longer than i had anticipated the pedicure taking but because i knew with the cuts using the UV light would be extremely painful. Unfortunately i will not be returning here in the future.
