Great administration of this public cooperative!
I joined as a full member. They have friendly, helpful staff. An awesome, do-it-yourself website with email confirmation and customer care, it's a no-brainer!
Excellent rates, in all vehicle styles at convenient locations.
On the Island, and on the mainland, it integrates well with (bike and) public transport.

I would give them a negative star but that’s no possible!
Worst car share company ever!!
They will steal money from you at daylight!
Their cars brake down even tho isn’t your fault they will charge you anyway!

And they just keep ignoring your emails so costumer service is trash; please stay away from them and use other waaay better car share companies!

If you go join into the modo plus and put in $500. Don't expect to get it back anytime soon if you want to cancel. I cancelled my membership after a year. The guy told me that I should expect my refund into my credit. I called two weeks later and the guy said wait another 2 weeks because it usually takes 3-4 weeks. I called again after 4 weeks. The guy now said it takes 3 months. Do not expect to get your deposit back!

Edit: I got a reply back from them.

Hi Richard, we apologize that you've received inconsistent messages around your refund when you were terminating your account. Our policy is to refund within 90 days (or sooner if we can). I have passed your message on to our office manager and your shares have been now fully refunded. You will see the transaction on your card statement within 7 business days and will receive a message to confirm the transaction. Thank you for reaching out, Kathrin

I was a Modo Plus member, I recently asked to end my membership since I don't need it anymore. You should get your $500 membership you paid for back, right?!! guess what, within their fine prints there is a line which says they MAY hold on to your money for 90 days. It took them exactly 90 days to give my money back. I found it to be a really nasty practicel. Their customer service was horrible as well.

Had to sign the eligibility waive, since my driver's license is from Brazil, and it was pretty fast and simple. I left the office with my fob ready to use.
