I had a good stay at the hostel. Great price for what you get. People shouldn't expect a hotel room for a place to sleep! I got what I paid for and I would do it again. The owner was very nice and friendly.
Close to tour sites like the church I posted. I look forward to going back.

This hostel has everything you need. For this price 25$ it's great. The host is very friendly and tries to improve everything. Please give her a helpful review so she knows what can be improved.
The lock is now fixed. Simple, cheap Hostel in downtown. What more do you need?

Quaint, small time hostel. Stayed one night and host was very accommodating. Nothing fancy but what I would expect in Victoria for a decent price. People seem to judge it pretty harshy for what it is! It's a place to sleep and it's got a great location!!
I would stay again versus paying more for somewhere else.

I stayed 4 nights at this Hostel and found it to be everything I needed. Its close to down town attractions, Restaurants, Historical land marks.
The place is an older building but well kept and clean. The manager (Sue) is retired and does a good job running the Hostel. Sue doesn't have the best handle on the English language but is a sweet lady and cares about your well being.
There was a wide range of people that was staying there at the time I was, ages from mid 20's to mid 50's. Everyone was very nice and it was a good experience.
I did not see any evidence of anything like the negative reviews are on this place.
For the price, this was exactly what I expected and I would book it again. One word of advice; during the peak summer months, you should book well in advance because of the demand.

Arrived and the woman working there didn't seem to know if she had a room for me, despite booking a week prior..
I immediately felt really uncomfortable and it's in a terrible part of town with groups of homeless people spread down the street.
Building isn't secure as door code is plastered on the door. There are a lot of older, unfriendly and weird-ish men staying at this place. I felt unsafe.
Only 2 showers for the whole hostel which is just ridiculous, especially because of how hot and small the rooms were. I think I lost about 5 kilos sweating during the night it was so hot, but myself and the other girls in the dorm were too scared to sleep with the door open.
I canceled my second night and got a hotel. Got 50% back which was fine I just wanted to get out of there.
Seriously, do not go to this hostel. Especially if you're a solo female traveler.
