Great food, service and best tapas place in town but it is pricy but worth every penny

Expensive compared to what you get. bought 5 dishes plus bread and two waters. 500kr too much. Dishes were good quality. If I would have known what it tasted like there were several I would not have purchased. Probably won't go back.

Expensive compared to what you get. Pay for an over priced glass of wine, only get half a glass. Food is nice though.

Average Spanish street food at Astronomic prices.

We recently tried the CanBlau restaurant in Aarhus. The place itself is very nice, with a touch of Gaudi's Parc Güell on it. I actually believe they turn off customers (couples or solo) with the excuse they are full, when it's clear they are half empty - I believe it is a psychological trick in order to create prestige and justify the astronomical prices. It looks like they have seen the movie American Psycho many times over - remember Dorsia restaurant?

Well, we got a table (even though it was empty). Our pretentious waitress had to ask the manager if they could make us the favour of a table in this great great restaurant...

We started with bread and Olive oil, which was actually excellent. The olive oil was of astonishing quality - the star of the night. We moved to different tapas dishes, the Patatas Bravas was just like I remember in Barcelona, the sauce was perfect and the portion generous. We ask for a Tuna carpaccio with Mango, absolutely tasteless and expensive. The croquetas were of decent quality. The beer was a Spanish Wheat which was very good. We had some more tapas of various types, one micro hamburguer which was perhaps the smallest burguer ive seen...

Overally was good, but here is my opinion: this is simply spanish STREET FOOD, its nothing to make up and dress up as a high end restaurant, certainly you do not pretend to be luxury - charge luxury and look pretentious to eat Patatas Bravas or Serrano with bread.

Streed food disguised as a high end exclusive restaurant - I did not believe on it - and no one should pay 7euro for potatoes. If prices were re-checked it would actually be ok to have some average spanish street food from time to time. For the time being and in my opinion the price is simply not justified. This food belongs to Aarhus street food...
