This was a lovely hotel to stay at in Perpignan. It is one of the best hotel experiences I've had in Europe. For the price, it has a great combination of size and amenities. The rooms have a modern style, with comfortable beds. But the staff is what really made the experience above and beyond anything I expected. They were all extremely nice and welcoming. The evening concierge had great recommendations on places to eat and was quick to help us with anything we asked. The morning concierge went out of his way to help us. There was a strike blocking the trains to Barcelona the day we were supposed to leave. He called the train station, taxis, hotels across the border, and even friends in Spain to get us information on the situation. We ended up having to stay another night, which he set up for us, and we were happy to do at this point. The next day, he once again got us the information we needed to get on our way. If I find myself in or near Perpignan again, I will stay here.

The hotel has a very good location near the river. It doesn't offer parking and all the area is surrounded by paying parking. The room was clean and the service was very good.
The water in the bathroom doesn't have pressure so the showers were kind of meh...

We arrived during the late morning and expected to leave our luggage with the staff since we did not expect our room to be ready. After we parked in the underground public garage across the street and returned to the hotel, our room was ready and we unpacked, looked at the local map, and headed into the old town and the Rigaud Museum where we wanted to see the Picasso in Perpignan exhibit.
Our room was excellent, as we’ve come to expect in BW affiliated hotels around Europe. The hotel’s location was proximate to several good restaurants and an easy walk to most of the shops and tourist sites in the old town. The breakfast was very good and we are glad to have chosen to have it rather than heading into town.

The staff were very accommodating, booking a vegan restaurant for myself and my husband. The room was fine, didn't quite understand the layout though, a spare room with a small sofa facing a wall, waste of space but enabled the room to be labelled a suite anyway 'bedroom' was comfortable enough. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, not a very good 'flow' and people scrambled to get their food whilst queues lengthened for tea, etc. We would never go back and the reason is they had a live parraqueet in a cage by reception, something that was not there the night we booked in. We complained about this barbaric treatment of a fellow creature to a sympathetic staff member but apparently the manager of the hotel insisted that the bird be imprisoned and kept on show rather than be taken to a sanctuary. Shameful treatment to witness and something that the new French Government should outlaw, birds are meant to be free, as are all animals, and left to fly where they wish. We will not return. S.& A.
