They will force you to buy their insurance (because your card will be declained when they "try" to block deposit). The approach to the customer is really bad. "We don't have the requested car" = you need to upgrade. Suddenly you have your bill and... VAT appears. Credit card fee. So final price is nearly the double of the reservation.

My experiences with Firefly were luckily not as bad as many other's. The people were friendly, the car was good, no complaints there. However... I spend 1,5 hours waiting and looking for the rental office. My rental sheet said to go to Auto Europe. After having waited close to an hour, they told me that I was in the wrong place and I needed to be at Hertz. After having waited half an hour more, a guy wearing a Firefly keychain tells me I am again in the wrong place. Yes, Firefly belongs to Hertz, but they are not the same. Apparently I was not the only person having this problem.
When I finally arrived at the correct office, my day was half spent, but at least things went smoothly from there on.

The location is really bad. Otherwise I didn't have any problems with it. Just remember to take lots of pictures of the car before and after.

Having arrived at the airport from abroad the impression was that the rental was next to the airport and we could easily pick up a car. Unfortunately we needed to call and schedule a pickup which took 15-20 mins and then drive to the location once they picked us up. This shouldn't be a problem but the fact that once we got there they forced some shady practice of agree to pay 80 euros for full coverage and 200 euros blocked or have 1000 euros "blocked" to make sure that the car would be covered.
The problem is that you're stuck at their location and they're pressing you with this shady sales tactic so if you arrived by plane you're pretty much extorted to pay an additional 80 euros above whatever you agreed to in the contract or be potentially screwed for 1000 euros.
Highly recommended to skip this place and book at one of the rental places at the airport.

Our experience with this company was less than satisfying. We arrived at the airport and received a wrong description about the pick up point.
At the office there, we had a very arrogant, unfriendly person who insisted that we should take an upgrade and forced us into paying for a "special" insurance as cars are being stolen often in this part of Italy! After a long, difensive and loud! discussion he blocked €1600 form our CC and gave us unwillingly the key to our car. The car was not in good condition, very scratched up so we took fotos and Jst for safety checked the oil! Jst to find there was no! Oil in the tank. In an outburst of rage the person who rented us the car came to us to tell us off as this was not acceptable to check motor related things of the car. We demanded oil and off we drove.
This company can definitely not be recommended!!! More hassle than it's worth!!!
