Used to be a favorite out of the way haunt. It must changed hands. Service is nonexistent and the food is mediocre at best. You’ll eat better in San Marco!

Hidden in one of the side streets of Venezia this place has the romantic atmosphere that the city used to be known for. It's best to go later in the evening, when people are starting to leave, so the staff would have more time for you. Menu has nice local specialties, so order a few different things with a bottle of wine and stay until closing time. You will not regret it.

We went here on our last night in Venice, and we loved it. Italian quality and good prices in San Marco, Venice. All the food is very fresh and delicious, and service was efficient and pleasant. We stopped to enjoy and early evening dinner. This is a neighborhood restaurant that is hard to find on Rio Tera Assassini. One can literally walk through this neighborhood in many directions and never notice because it is on a Rio Tera though very close to Campo Sant Angelo and Teatro Fenice. We had the caprese salad and meatballs with wine and very pleasantly satisfied. This reservations fill up quickly, and they have pub prices for restaurant service and food quality. I will try to visit here again.

We were sent here by the receptionist at our hotel.
We were NOT disappointed. At first we thought we would not get a seat and had to wait a while at the bar, when we were seated we realized that we were actually surrounded by Venetians.
The waiter was quite entertaining after he realized that we were not Italians.
So we ate what they ate and had an excellent dinner with excellent conversation and good laughs.
Pricing was very reasonable.
If you can find it, try it, you will not be disapointed.
