I highly DO NOT recommend this place to rent a car from. Me and my Fiancee visited family in Lithuania this summer and decided to rent a car from Sixt - just because it is a well known brand all over the world. The car was great all the way thru our trip - had no issues with it. However once we returned the vehicle and boarded the plane we received an email stating that the car has been damaged and we will receive estimated repair information later. Just before returning the vehicle I did a walk around to make sure it is in the same condition that we took it 7 days before. And it was.
During our connection flight we received another email stating that the car has a dent on the rear passenger quarter and it needs to be pop-ed out. They attached the pictures of the dent which looked more like a 1/32 inch chip. Might have been a paint defect from the manufacturers side. It was hardly noticeable even in the pictures. Either way the most interesting part was the repair order. The SIXT associate in the email stated that the quarter needs to be pop-ed out and no paintwork needs to be done to the car. However the repair estimate was all in Lithuanian and all of it was paintwork related (Paint prep, paint itself, labor for painting, etc).
We sent like 3 emails afterwards disputing the extra charges (which rounded up to an extra $170) - no response. They just took the extra money off the credit card. No communication afterwards.
SIXT are trying to rip people off and take advantage of the foreigners.
HORRIBLE customer service - rent anywhere else but SIXT.
