Great place to get a sense of Wrocław history from far in the past to the present. It's renovated so really interesting technology used and good to keeps children's interest. Best of all it's free like most museums in Wrocław.

Extremely good, well laid out, covering all aspects of Wroclaw history to the present day. I highly recommend taking the Audio guide. You'll need 2 hours to visit . Excellent cafe

The renovation phase seems to be completely over and the museum is fully opened again. The permanent exhibition about Wroclaw's history is well made with many 3D animations, videos and audio records. Everything is well translated to English and German and the entry is free, so no reason not to visit it.
Just the tour signs leading you through the exhibition could be improved, especially in the stairways in between the exhibition floors.

The museam is now fully open again(and free). Very interesting with good displays, charting the history of wroclaw from about 900ad? To the second world war. As well as some state rooms open to view. Giving a good view of the complicated life the city has lived so far.
