One of our favourites. Great beer and cider, great scotch eggs, try the carrot onion and cashew bhaji (delicious), lovely time owners, and great space to play board games with friends. Also able to order in your own takeaway. Highly recommend.

Amazing beers, the tap list changes daily. Worth keeping an eye out for beers from Hubris ID, a Bath based nano brewery.

Good craft beer selection, but no atmosphere. The tables were very dirty when we were there, and the decor feels a bit odd, almost still in construction vibe.

Pubs in Bath.
Over the last few years we saw many many pubs changing ownership and going through refurbishment. Sometimes you feel a bit sad seeing that something old something dear to you with a lot of history, character and regulars, disappearing. Now with the Bee Hive this isn't the case. It is obviously not a huge achievement a to make something horrible(lets be honest, the hive was not great at all...) better. But the thing is here, the new owners did not just make it slightly better, they built up something completely different and new. You have to appreciate the amount of effort, and knowledge they put into this new pub the Chapter1. Starting with delicious craft beers on tap, great selection of proper drinks (no Gordon's or Bells here) quality mixers (Fever Tree) and scotch eggs to die for.
This is an ideal place to go to try new craft beers or just to have a couple of cocktails.
Because it isn't in the city center you probably even have a chance to get a table as well.

A good selection of varied beers, nice crisps and some excellent scotch eggs. There's always a friendly welcome for people, dogs, kids, bicycles and anything else you could reasonably want to take in there (including a take-away). When it was first opened the place was quite echoey but a few soft furnishings have quietened it down. I'm currently sitting on a sofa in front of a warm fire supping some very good beer! 😊
