My scarlet, a 12 year old staff, had already been well looked after by all staff at willow vets. The receptionists loved her (even after cleaning all her wee up!) and the vets did their best for her.
She took quite a turn for the worst just over a week ago and on bringing her in without an appointment, she was seen immediately and x-rayed. I had to make the difficult decision to let her go. Those dealing with her made it absolutely clear what the condition was and the possible outcomes. This was done in a kind and respectful manner.
I was allowed to sit with scarlet for a few hours before it was time. A number of staff came out to see how she and I were and the process was discussed with again, great care so I knew exactly what to expect.
The time of passing was obviously heartbreaking and just over a week later it is still so empty. I had called in to gain a final settlement price and again, there was no rush and it was nothing but kindness from all staff.
Today, I collected my Scarlets ashes. This brings to an end a very painful time for her and she is at peace. The receptionist this morning was again sympathetic and kind, even as I had a cry.
I cannot fault the generosity and kindness of the staff at willow vets in Newport Pagnell. One of the hardest days of my life, they were all there to support.

Always helpful, gentle with my cats, professional and friendly. Cannot fault this surgery and have been with them for nearly 30 years. Excellent care.

Always very helpful. Have used this vets for 14 years and must say it is the best - caring, nurturing and when life comes to the end for your pet - dignified.......

My wife has come back twice from the vets very upset from taking our dog. I am sure reading the other reviews they must be very good with animals but I'm afraid not for us. We still don't know what we can do to help our dogs ear infection or indeed if we've contributed to it. All I know is my wife has come back twice now not sure what is happening and felt as if she was being accused of abusing our family pet! Best of luck but not for us thank you.

Brilliant practice. We had a falling out in the past. and I went elsewhere, but then went back. These people really do listen. They are prepared to learn and develop. They clearly have the animals best interests at heart and have gone all out to help one of my dogs who has been seriously ill and who has the same condition that one of my old dogs (same breed) had. Thank you so much for helping me get her as far as she has. Especially to Caroline who has been so supportive in helping getting my girl a good quality of life. It's a pity I cannot take you with me to Wales.
